Elizabeth has worked in the beauty industry since 2011. While building her skills as a makeup artist, Elizabeth spent most of her time learning how makeup translated on camera, ensuring that her clients felt beautiful in person and would love the finished product later in photo or video. With the expertise she has built up, Elizabeth started offering photography as an add package in 2018 and has grown to offering boudoir, content, lifestyle, and wedding photography to her portfolio. Photography allows her to provide the client with a package that is flexible and easy to book resulting in flawless, professionally finished photos.

How does it work?

Elizabeth starts by doing the makeup services as she has since 2011, often bringing an assistant or additional hairstylist with her except in the case of travel weddings.

Elizabeth has her camera out and ready while she works so you don’t have to miss out on any moments in the morning that you’d like. She then transitions from beauty services to photography, packing up a touch up kit to ensure that the bride looks flawless all day. Elizabeth has worked weddings doing 6 makeup applications, then switched to photography and completed 10 hours of wedding photography.

How does she do it?

This is a common question she gets asked as it’s unusual to see a makeup artist also doing photography. Her answer? It’s not that different from before. Elizabeth offered luxury packages that included touch ups throughout the wedding day, a second look, and often did fashion show makeup or event clients in the evening after a wedding. Working a 15 hour day wasn’t unusual before offering photography services. Offering photography seemed a natural next step in her career and a better fit for clients during the pandemic.
